BenefitsAdvocacy is a large part of what CAIDC is all about. CAIDC's agenda is shaped by key international development issues brought forward by our membership. To this end, the Association is open to a continuing dialogue with its members and relies on regular surveys to identify concerns that need to be championed and advanced. For example: - Improving the effectiveness of Canadian official Development Assistance - Building Canada's international image, reputation and presence - Promoting the inclusion of Canadian delivery agents in the development of Government of Canada policies - Developing effective new programming modalities and ensuring donor accountability - Engaging Canadian expertise and idealism in developing countries - Ensuring sound Federal procurement and contracting of professional services CAIDC meets frequently with Parliamentarians, federal departments and agencies, international organizations and institutions, and other members of the international development community. Member concerns are routinely logged for discussion and advancement.
